Course Summery

The German language holds the twelfth position among the world's most popular languages. It is widely spoken in Central Europe and is considered the native language of many Europeans. Additionally, it is the second most commonly taught language in primary schools throughout the European Union. It is interesting to note that the English language is classified as a Germanic language and historical records show a close relationship between the two. In fact, many of the oldest English words are believed to have German origins. German remains the second most commonly used language on websites.

The usefulness and significance of the German language cannot be overstated. As the second scientific language worldwide, German is recognized as either an official or co-official language in six European countries: Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and Luxembourg. It is also spoken in several other countries, including Denmark, Hungary, Italy, and Poland.

 

SCOPE OF THE LANGUAGE

 

1. Europe is the world’s largest economy and the world’s second-largest exporter, which makes German an important language to study.

2. Hands-on training and knowledge about the language open career and job opportunities in the field of engineering, health, medicine, education, power and utility, mass media, and entertainment.

3. Germany is home to all the big firms like BMW, Volkswagen, Bosch, Daimler, Adidas, Deutsche Bank, and many more that are all established all around the globe.

4. Also, universities in Germany are highly recognized in the whole world. Since higher education in the country is funded by the states, hence, most of the country’s academic institutions are free for students.

5. Proficiency in the language also enables an individual to apply for teaching jobs. Also, it opens an opportunity for a variety of jobs like a translator, interpreter, content writer, etc.

 

Course Levels (A/B/C):-

 

A1: A lot of motivation is given to the learner to express his/her feelings, opinions, and needs in the same language. The learner will be able to understand and use common expressions and very simple sentences. The learner will be able to introduce himself/herself and freely ask general questions from others.

A2: The learner will be able to read and write simple sentences and paragraphs. A lot of emphasis is given to the grammar and pronunciation of the language. A clear understanding of the basics is given a lot of significance. The learner will be able to communicate in general daily tasks.

B1: The learner will be able to improve their speaking ability and fluency. Also, a clear understanding of the language will be developed and he/she will easily be able to express himself/herself on a range of topics related to personal interests, work, and other familiar topics.

B2: Great importance is given to providing the learners with space where they can learn and communicate freely in the language. She/he will learn new idioms, and expressions and will master the creative use of the language. The learner will be able to create comprehensive and detailed text on a wide range of topics.

C1: The learner will be able to write letters and will have hands-on practice to use the language in a smooth manner. The learners are given a thorough knowledge of the literature, history, and culture of the language.

C2: The learner will have a great command of the language. The learners are instructed to practice novels, magazines, and a variety of assignments. The learner will be able to understand, read and write the language with ease and will achieve perfection in all circumstances.
